McCordsville has grown quickly, and the result is a very particular mix: new subdivisions with young trees that have never been structurally pruned, dropped in among old farm trees and hedgerows that have been left alone for fifty years.

Both need attention, for opposite reasons. The young trees need shaping now, while it is cheap, so they do not develop the weak forks that fail later. The old farm trees are often enormous, unmanaged, and sitting right next to a barn or a fence line.
